SpongeBob SquarePants: Christmas Who? (2000)

In this, the first SpongeBob SquarePants Christmas episode, Sandy the Squirrel brings the traditions of Christmas to the ears of the residents of Bikini Bottom. Of course, SpongeBob, along with the rest of the Bikini Bottomers and Patrick, take the tales of Santa and run with them. There is a determination to bring dry land Christmas to the bottom of the sea. They write letter after letter to Santa to let the jolly fat man know they are there.

Of course, Squidward scoffs and mocks in his signature style.

When the night comes, and Santa doesn’t appear, defeat and sadness permeate the water.

Then a miracle happens, Squidward's heart grows three sizes, and he takes on the role of Santa, bringing Christmas to Bikini Bottom. In the end, Santa Claus shows up and rewards Squidward for his kindness.

And the peasants rejoice.
